Youth Day
Chairman: Tanya Lowrance
Co-Chairman: Kellie Rogers
Fridays are dedicated to the Youth and filled with activities for kids and family. The day is launched around nine o’clock in the morning by local Boy Scouts raising our flag while the national anthem is sang.
There are events in the park (near Safari Run) including face painting, needle in the hay stack, ice cream eating contest, simple crafts and more. East Chambers’ Junior National Honor Society students dress up in various costumes to create Characters in the Park for children to enjoy while visiting the festival.
The main stage has various activities including pageants, announcing annual poster contest winners, local drill team performances and other singers and entertainers. The event runs through early afternoon ending around 2pm with the grand finale Youth Day Parade beginning at 3pm.
