Glenn Kiker, 2024 President of TRF

Glenn Kiker is the 55th President of the Texas Rice Festival. He is a past rice farmer and currently runs a cowcalf operation with his father. Glenn is the son of Homer Kiker and the late Anita Ramos Kiker. He was born and raised in Fannett, Texas and is a 1984 graduate of Hamshire-Fannett High School.

Glenn left the area for college where he received a Farm & Ranch Management degree from Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde, Texas and landed a job at the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. It was during this time in the Texas Hill Country that Glenn met his wife, Lindsey Anderson Kiker. Glenn loved his time in the Hill Country and made wonderful lifelong friends while there, but Southeast Texas rice fields and bayous always had his heart.

After Glenn and Lindsey married, they moved to Glenn’s hometown of Fannett where he farmed rice, crawfish, and raised cattle alongside his father. The cow-calf operation is still in operation today.

Glenn has 2 children, Ferrell Kiker Dubois and son-in-law Mason Dubois and son, Stone Kiker. Glenn’s grandfather, C.A. “Red” Kiker, was the Pioneer Farmer of the year in 1983 and his father, Homer Kiker, is the current Pioneer Farmer of the Year.

Glenn is a past HF School Board Member and has been Co-Chairman of the TRF BBQ Cookooff for 13 years.

Glenn is honored to be the TRF President and has a deep appreciation for all the volunteers of the organization.
